Month November 2024

Holly from America. I definitely gained improvement in my abilities to understand different levels of English and different personalities and how to work with them best to make sure they are getting the help and support they need when learning a new language.

I would recommend the program for sure!! If you're thinking about it, go for it. It's an adventure and a really good opportunity to grow in your experience as a teacher, or realize maybe it's not for you but still have a good time. Either way I recommend it!! Life’s too short to say no to everything

Aidan from England. I can confidently say my expectations have been fully exceeded. I couldn’t have predicted that I would gain important insights whilst at the same time making so many friends living in Catalonia.

To say, “I’ve been lucky to have my Host Family” would frankly be an understatement. I could tell you all about our adventures around Catalonia, tasting incredible unique foods and watching amazing sports matches, but really all that needs to be said is that from the moment I arrived to the moment of writing this sentence, they have shown me only love, kindness and respect. Therefore, trying to put into words how lucky I really have been is like trying to bite your own teeth.

Megan from Ireland. Everyone at the school is beyond friendly and welcoming and they just want to help you to settle in and do your best. Ask for help or ideas if you need it! The students really love coming to the classes.

I have gained so much confidence in my ability to teach, stand up and talk in front of students, essentially be in charge of my classes and of course living and settling into a new country.  Teaching English as a career is something I will strongly consider pursuing in the future.

Kieran from England. My time in the school has been nothing short of incredible. The teachers have welcomed me with open arms and the students are enthusiastic and curious.

I would recommend this program for all those who wish to try something new and experiment with teaching. I have learnt so much and feel it would be worthwhile for people who are curious about teaching or people who have taught before. If I could say something to someone thinking about joining the program – do it!! I haven’t looked back since I started, and I’ve had the time of my life so far. It will be an experience that I remember for a very long time, and I’m glad I’ve done it.

Nicole Getter from America. Although I’ve traveled a lot, this is the first time I’ve truly lived somewhere other than home and it has taught me so much.

One of my highlights so far has been a family trip to PortAventura park. It was so fun to spend the full day with my host family. Also, during my stay, I got to experience my host family’s family reunion with all of their extended family and it was such a special moment for me to get to know everyone and exchange stories

Alice from Ireland. I am more confident around leading a group of kids any age in an activity as I know now what to do and not do. I have gained experience in both arts and crafts and English teaching and assisting.

I have had a very positive experience on this program. Everyone is nice and friendly and I feel I got lucky with my school and host family placement. I have also made some new friends from different areas than myself so we must plan visits with each other once the program finishes.
