I have zero regrets about joining this program. I have learnt so much about the Catalonian culture, about working with children, about travelling, about myself, the list goes on. From the very moment of submitting my application I have felt supported in this program. I cannot say enough good things about Educados International.

Couldn’t have asked for anything more from my host family. Treated me very well
Had a great relationship with everyone and they let me be free whenever I wanted to travel somewhere and helped me find the way to get there. Always cooked very good food which made me feel like I was back at home.

Berga is just below a mountain. I loved to hike/explore up there after school and I really enjoyed being outdoors so much. I was placed with another speaker and we got on well and would often hang out. It was really nice to get to know her and to have someone I could speak English with.

I would 100% recommend this program for others. And if there are people that are nervous or unsure about doing this program then my advice would be to just do it and embrace it. Embrace everything and you will be absolutely fine and love every second of it.

Educados have been great support throughout it all making me feel very at ease and not alone. There is also a group of others in the same experience at the same time that you will meet, you are not alone. it is a once in a lifetime and will be your own unique experience.

My biggest advice is to make friends with the teachers, even if they can’t speak much English. They respect this, small things like going to grab a coffee during their lunch break at a local cafe.

Professionally, I now better understand what it is like to teach English as a foreign language and have more skills/ideas/lessons that I will be able to use in the future. I have taken notes and ideas from observing the other teachers that I think will make me a better teacher overall.
